starts off with a black screen
there will be a build up of music (non-digetic)
then it will fade in to a dark scene, point of view shot of the protaganist (actor in the action) walking alond the side of a house.
this will be quite dark as it will be at night. i want this to create tension.
the music will be quiet but can still be heard. the music must compinhend with the hero walking.
while it is in a point-of-view shot. i will get the hero to show the audience his cloths (arms/feet).
at one point, i will have the camera to 'cut' to a medium/long shot of the hero walking from right->left along the house. the camera will be placed parallel to a large window but will be pointing right to start with. the hero will be either silhoueted/shaddowed. this will create tension as the viewer will want to know/see more from our hero.
the camera will be panning left. it will be panning slower than the hero because i want him to 'advance' across the screen whiles the camera is panning.
when the camera is parrael with the window (with the hero centrol of the screen), i will have an extras (two men) to enter the kitchen (hero next to window) and turn the light on. when the light comes, the music will stop to also create tension. the audience will be able to see that the hero has disapeared from the scene.
these extras will be exchanging a few lines of dialogue. this dialouge will go like;
"We are going to hit it (her) tomorrow!"
"Yeh, Do you have the tools?"
"yeh, the pickaxe is in the back of the car"
"What! No! that;ll be too messy. we'll use a spade instead"
"nice thinking, it'll cut it straight off. i'll go and get the pic out of the car"
the extras will leave the kitchen and turn off the light.
as the light goes off and they leave our hero will stand up after ducking down under the window.
he will brush him self off and continue the walk. the music will begin again and the camera will also begin to pan left with the hero.
when he gets to the back door. the camera will cut to a close up of the handle of the back door. the music will build up becoming faster and louder (i will try and make it sound like a heart pumping) when he grasps the handle. i will have the extra who went to get the pickaxe to enter the kitchen and turn the light on. (music will stop suddenly)
i will have the camera to cut to a medium shot of the hero on the left and the kitchen window on the right.
the camera will pan right whiles tilting left quickly keeping the hero in the shot.
the camera will very quickly pan to the man in the kitchen with the tool turning the light in the hall on (camera will still be outside looking though the window).
the camera will quickly pan left the where the hero 'was'
the audience is shown that the hero is gone/missing.
there will be a clash of metal pots(?) and the camera will pan and zoom onto a small shed outside the back door.
the camera will them cut to inside the shed showing that it is dark and the only light emitted is coming though the crack in the door (point of view). we are able to hear footsteps of that man becoming closer. the footsteps will become louder (non-digetic) as it goes on and will suddenly stop outside the door.
the door swings open
extra steps in + turns light on (holding pick over shoulder)
hero jumps up with gun aimed at extra
he says a few lines of dialougue stating about what he has heard and what he knows;
"Ha HA. how the mighty have fallen. i know about your scheme. thats right! all of it. your business plan. and everything."
extra looks blankly O.O
"you are a loan shark, you offer small amout up to £1,000 a go. then if they don't repay straight away, you hurt them. you start with breaking their legs. them you go on to the arms. if one of your clients ran off, you removed their head and send peices of it to your enemy. what do you have to say to that!"
extra still looks blankly then calls for the other extra; "Bob, what have you been up to?"
the other extra enters and sees the hero. "oh what are you doing here?? who are you anyway?"
"i am here because you've been disecting people who you lent money to!"
the both look blankly
hero realises "is this 28 Ashbourne road?"
extra replies "no.. this is 28 Offbourne road"
"but.. but... you said... what were you discussing in the kitchen?"
"digging up a old tree"
"oh... well thank you for sucessfully passing this exercise. erm... i'll be going now."
the camera cuts to a point of view shot of the extra as the hero walks along the house and out to the front of the house. the camera cuts th a long shot of him walking down the drive and then walks off.
here is a simple sketch of how i am going to shoot this clip.

camera 1 - side of house
camera 2 - panning from garden
camera 3 - view from outside of window
camera 4 - shed
enjoy

You have obviously put a lot of thought into how you will make this genre work. I think this sound promising. Now you need to get storyboarding. Make sure you know how you are going to show the action at the beginning in a way that creates a dramatic build up so that when you cut the tension with your gags it's a dramatic change. Start thinking about music because this is obviously important to the atmosphere you intend to create.
